gene
franchini mock trial state finals competition . . .
The
state finals competition takes place in
Albuquerque each year. Finals consists of
three
rounds among all teams. Each team
will present each side
(prosecution/plaintiff or defense) of
the case once - in rounds 1 and 2 - and
one or the other in round 3.
The results are calculated and awards are presented to the
top three teams at the Awards Banquet and
Dance. Individual
awards are also given to any student
who is selected by a judging panel as an
outstanding witness or attorney. In
addition, the two students who receive
the greatest number of points as
attorneys or witnesses from the judges
during the three rounds will be named
the Zamzok Most Outstanding Attorney and
Witness; these awards are funded
annually by Albuquerque attorney Larry Zamzok.
A summary of the final results will be
posted on the CCV website and
copies of the official ballots are sent
to each team in the week following the
event.
